Faith, Family, & Friends
In October 2007, the Newman Center kicked off a new parish-wide, family-based religious formation program called “Faith, Family & Friends.”
Faith, Family & Friends began when we noticed that families were being forced to divide up their weekday evenings so that children, teens and even adults could attend their particular program or ministry in the parish. In the interest of keeping families together, we came up with the idea of having one religious formation evening where all family members could participate. What resulted is Faith, Family & Friends. Families and individuals are invited to come to Cardinal Newman Hall every Tuesday from 6 – 8:30 PM where they can enjoy an occasional meal, participate in a general activity and move on to their individual formation program which includes childcare, preschool, kindergarten, elementary, junior high, high school and adult sections. To date, over 500 individuals participate on Tuesday evenings.
