I grew up in Alameda, CA and moved to Fresno in 1991 from Virginia. I was a military wife for 23 years, living in many parts of the U.S. My family also lived in Heidelberg, Germany, for seven years during which time I worked for a Catholic Military Parish for six years as the CCD Coordinator for grades 1-8 and high school students. I was also a board member of the Military Council of Catholic Women in Europe—an organization for Catholic women whose husbands were stationed in seven European countries.
I have been at the Newman Center since September 1993 and became Director of Religious Education (CCD) in 1995. I am grateful for the many volunteer teachers we have had, the love of their Catholic faith, and the way they share it with children. Seeing the students arriving to learn each week is a delight, especially when they are preparing to receive the Sacraments.
